Attack them, first, with whatever you think the most likely stupid thing they will say about you. It’s often true, and it seems to work well.

Because, if you attack them first with the thing they were going to say about you, they have to say either “no u” which is weak, or they have to try and “fix stupid” themselves which wastes their time.

I find that stupid people avoid cognitive dissonance at any cost, even if it costs them an opportunity to broaden their intellectual horizons.

If someone is just stupid or ignorant, they will want to, and try to understand.

I believe it is much more often due to malice than stupidity or ignorance.
