Discussion: Would You Support Your Side If They Did Wrong?

Discussion thread. Follow-up to last week’s discussion here.
For left-wing readers: Imagine a left-wing movement comes to power. They make hospital birth mandatory (to create “healthy equity”), allow child-abuse (to protect the “sexual orientation” of “minor-attracted-persons”), and pass laws protecting all forms of genital cutting (to "protect Muslim and Jewish minorities”). Their only opposition is a far-right counter-movement. Do you join the opposition?
For right-wing readers: Imagine a right-wing movement comes to power. They make hospital birth mandatory (to “protect children”), allow child-abuse (because “spare the rod, spoil the child”), and pass laws protecting all forms of genital cutting (for “religious freedom”). Their only opposition is a far-left counter-movement. Do you join the opposition?
My only hesitancy is you didn't specify what the opposition wants to do: nothing or something about those 3 things ? That would help me figure out which lesser of 2 evils I'm choosing. Usually the opposition is very vocal about what they want todo instead, not just "the other side is bad."
Like in No Country for Old Men, you want me to call heads or tails, but I need to know what I stand to gain & lose with either choice.
I'm a centrist. I assess the situation and back the side I agree with more. That said I'm left leaning and would join a right wing opposition to undo injustices if need be.
I don't particularly have a side, but if I did, and they did wrong, I would not support them. That doesn't necessarily mean I would support their opposition either.

None of the above. I’m a libertarian/anarchist/agorist/voluntaryist.
I used to be a dues paying member of the LP, but stopped when I realized they still support government.
Since I have no political affiliation I would join any cause that protects a child's bodily integrity.
As a result of joining some people may assume I have political associations, but I have no control over what people think.

I think i would start my own separate group and work with others on the issues we agree upon.
